Uncapped was a capstone project. Uncapped is a new take on the traditional bottle opener with a few innovative tweaks. Each piece is locally produced in the central coast and constructed of high quality stainless steel and African Mahogany. Powerful magnets have been embedded into the wood to catch falling caps and allows the device to be mounted onto a variety of surfaces such as your fridge.
Natures Medley was created during the 48 Hour Repack Challenge. During the challenge, my team was tasked with re-designing either flour, band-aid, caulking gun, or burrito packaging. In the 48 hours, the team had to create a prototpye of the package along with a rationale and commercial. My team decided to re-package flour and placed 2nd in the nation for our design.
The Coffee Carriage is an efficient packaging system that allows consumers to carry coffee and pasteries in one compact container.
There are two versions of the Coffee Carriage. The first version is a one piece dieline that is able to carry two cups of coffe and pasteries. The other is a three piece dieline that allows for five cups of coffee and pasties to be conveniently carried. Both versions are made out of E-flute Corrugate.
Cowler Cream Cheese offers a creative application because of its vibrant and interactive visual positioning of colors and shapes. The exploration of a number of concepts and prototypes led to a package that increases convenience and heightens the overall consumer experience of portable cream cheese packaging. It offers a technical advance because of its dynamic use of the plastic top that is perforated, peeled off from the rest of the individual cream cheeses, and used as a spreader. Also, it is difficult to find variety packs of cream cheese. The Cowler Cream Cheese concept offers the ability to try different flavors without having to buy large tubs of each. The heart-shaped spreaders, which are rotated along its center, offer a design advancement because it creates a flower design. The metallizing of the plastic top spreaders improves the oxygen and vapor barrier properties of the package.
